When God Speaks Through You

Craig A. Satterlee

How faith convictions shape preaching and mission.

"Holy and active listening" means listening openly and attentively to one another with the expectation that God will speak in and through the conversation.  Homiletics professor Satterlee helps preachers and congregations learn to listen to one another with such grace.  Creating discussion groups about preaching prepares congregations for broader conversation about how people's faith convictions shape both their lives and the congegation's worship, life together, and mission.

The Circle of Life

Joyce Rupp & Macrina Wiederkehr

The Heart's journey Through the Seasons

The authors turn to the seasons of the earth to connect with life's sacred center.  Using reflections, poems, prayers and meditations, they invite us to listen carefully and closely to the wisdom of each season.  They help us open our eyes to what each season teaches and show how how we can claim its unique grace.
