 Frank E. Clark Charitable Trust Grant

Application

The Synod of the Covenant has received $50,000 from the Frank E. Clark Charitable Trust for distribution to the presbyteries, which will then distribute their shares to congregations to use within the stipulations of the trust. Muskingum Valley’s share is $4,500. The grant is to go to congregations with annual budgets of less than $250,000, with worship attendance of less than 150 that are located in a community of less than 50,000 in population (community is defined as a three-mile radius from the church as defined by Percept). The grant may be used only for capital improvements (Capital improvements are defined as "The addition of a permanent structural improvement, the restoration of some aspect of a property or betterment to a building that will either enhance the property's overall value or increases its useful life"). Special consideration is given to projects that are more responsive to the needs of God’s creation; (e.g. provide environmental benefits in the form of fuel efficiency, enhanced use of recycling, improved air quality and reduction of negative environmental effects.)

To be considered for funding you must complete the attached application and submit it to Muskingum Valley Presbytery, Attn: Erin Shilling, 109 Stonecreek Rd. NW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.The application must be received by March 15 to be considered for funding. The Mission Coordinating Council will make one or more grants from the total fund.
